Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) utilises oxygen, delivered in higher air pressure than which we experience at sea level. HBOT uses specialised chambers that allow the whole body to rest comfortably in this environment. Using higher pressures and greater percentages of oxygen allows physicians to deliver more oxygen, vital for healing and metabolic processes, to the tissues. Our body ability to carry oxygen in blood stream is normally limited, but in HBOT additional oxygen is absorbed and delivered by the blood stream to the whole body. This will enhance our body for repairing and regenerating processes.
In acupuncture, the nervous system is stimulated by thin, metallic, needles at points known as acupuncture points. It causes the system to increase the release of natural painkillers such as endorphins and serotonin, in the pain pathway of the brain and the spinal cord.
Despite medical uncertainty of exactly how Acupuncture can provide so many benefits, there is plenty of evidence that supports its use in nervous system and muscular conditions, immune deficiency, in the management of stress and many other conditions.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a noninvasive brain stimulation technique that is safe for use in children and adult treatment.
Condition can be used: Depression, Migraine, Neuropathic Pain, Post Stroke
Contraindication: Metal in head, Cardiac pacemaker
Adverse effect of TMS: Headache, discomfort, local pain and may be temporary hearing loss
