Get enough sleep: sleep at least 7-8 hours per day. Go to bed and wake up every morning at the same time. Keeping the same morning routine can be an easy way to get yourself in a good mood after wake-up. Starting the day after getting enough rest will make you feel powerful and more prepared for the day.
Get Positive thoughts before bed and after waking up, for example by praying before going to bed or reading a good book, listen to music or watch a movie that sets you in a good mood. You may write a note or talk positively with your loved one before going to bed. No matter what you do, do not engage in serious matter, such as writing a report or watching irritating things. Avoid watching crime news or sad intense movies. These kinds of stories tend to worsen your sleep with nightmares or make you wake up in an uneasy mood.
Listen to music that refreshes your mind. It may sound like something trivial, but in fact, spending just a few minutes each day listening to your favorite music will be very effective to create a good mood – more than you would expect.
If you feel uneasy or not well, write down your ideas. Whether you have a diary or blog, you can create a habit of writing your thoughts at least three or four times a week to help improving your mood. Writing down your ideas is a quiet time where you can focus on your inner voice. It helps you to focus on the important things in life and makes you forget about telephone, Facebook, or other distractions.
Drink enough water: you might start feeling less happy because you lose your energy as a result of insufficient water intake. Drinking a glass of water will instantly awaken your body and mind. Be sure to drink at least 8-10 glasses of water per day.
Dare to do crazy things, like dancing in the dark or scream as loud as possible. Eat a large dish that you know you shouldn’t eat. Change your hair style and find a pet to care and feed. (Be sure to be ready to have such responsibility). Join a club to set up a band to do crazy things that you would normally never do… You will have a better mood and create new and challenged emotions that may make you feel happy.
